mySugr and Roche

The mySugr GmbH was acquired by Roche in 2017 and our Vienna office is one of Roche's global sites. Located in the heart of Vienna, we are proud to contribute to Roche’s mission by supporting innovative therapy solutions such as mySugr®, Accu-Chek®, navify®, and other Roche products and services.

We focus on software as a medical device, innovative solutions that enhance and expand our portfolio of glucose monitoring technologies and insulin delivery systems, as well as services that support digital diabetes management and remote chronic care—always with patient centricity at the core of everything we do.

Why did we start mySugr?

What drives us

Why did we start mySugr?

Because diabetes sucks. It’s challenging, relentless, and often made even harder by the prevalence of intimidating & distant communication for people living with diabetes. Around 2009, with the emergence of smartphone app stores, we saw an opportunity to change that.

Living well with diabetes is possible, and the foundation of living well with diabetes is data – with data, therapy can be optimized. Diabetes data, however, can be inconvenient to collect, hard to analyze, and often downright overwhelming. People with diabetes can end up relying on doctors and diabetes educators for help, but can’t see them often enough, or for long enough, to get the help they need.
